Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great summer!
All classes will be doing start up projects to ease you back into the swing of school. Then we get down to the nitty gritty.
These are some of the projects we will be working on this year...
Kinders - Art book, primary and secondary colors, types of line, patterns, practice cutting, pasting and tracing, various holiday projects and much more.
1st- A review of what we learned in kindergarten, famous paintings, drawing people and animals, clay pots.
2nd- Art throughout time. Cave art, Egyptian art, Greek vases, Roman frescoes, and Byzantine mosaics just to start us off.
3rd - Famous artists. Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Dali, Klimt, Cezanne, Picasso, Monet, Wood, Johns, and Warhol
4th - More famous artists. Klimt, Haring, Thiebauld, O'Keeffe, Calder, Escher, and Adams
5th - Elements of art: value, color, line, shape, texture, and form
6th - Principles of art: unity, variety, balance, rhythm/pattern, contrast and proportion.
It should be an exciting year in the art room:)
